The Principal Rev. Fr Robert DSouza’s birthday was celebrated on March 29, 2018. A unique program was organized in the school. The dignitaries present on the occasion were the School Manager Rev. Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza, Vice Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr Rohan Lobo, Vice President and Secretary of the Bejai Pastoral Parishad Mr Stany Vas and Ms Cony Saldanha, and members of the School Management Committee Mr Augustine Rodrigues, Mr Roman D’Souza, and Dr Adelaide D’Sa. The program was compeered by Drishya of Class X.
The program commenced with a Prayer song led by the school choir, which was followed by a mesmerising welcome dance performed by Aradhana and Kamya of Class X. Sasha Lobo of Class X welcomed the gathering through speech.
The Head Girl Meghana Kashyap spoke about the significance of the day and Ms Preethi wished and greeted Fr Principal on behalf of all the teaching and non teaching staff members. This was followed by Fr Manager’s address who extolled the praiseworthy and hard work of Fr Principal.
The school choir sang a melodious birthday song to wish Fr Principal and other children who were celebrating their birthday on the same day, after which he addressed the gathering and shared his joy. Later the class leaders and representatives came forward and wished Fr Principal on behalf of their respective classes.
Rishal D. Pinto and Abhinav R. Rao of Class VII were honoured by Fr Principal for achieving the first rank in the Catechism and Value Education Diocesan exams. Errol Calvin Lobo and Danish Pinto were honoured as toppers in the Career Advancement Programme organised by Youth Active 8 Foundation. The Principal’s Certificate of Honour was awarded to the students of every class/section who achieved excellence in academics and a 100% attendance in the academic year of 2017-18.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Joshal of Class X.
To continue the celebration, the students had a class party along with their respective class teachers.
The staff also gathered together and wished their Fr Principal good luck, good health, and joy. The day was indeed memorable for the staff and students as it was their Principal’s day; a day of laughter and joy.
