The PTA Annual General Body Meeting for the classes I to XII for the year 2015- 2016 was held on Saturday, 4thJuly 2015 in the Bejai Church Hall at 10:00 a.m.
Rev Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza, the Manager of LCS, the Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza, the Vice- Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas and the chief guest Mr S Murugan, IPS, Commissioner of police were the dignitaries on this occasion.
The LCS teachers invoked God’s blessings through a prayer song. On behalf of LCS family the Manager Rev Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza in his address introduced and welcomed the new Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza and wished him well. He appealed to the parents and teachers to spend quality time with their children and give importance to them with love and discipline.
Ms Vivita D’ Souza introduced the chief guest Mr S Murugan, IPS, Commissioner of police. He gave an incident of his school days at a prestigious school in Chennai and was now thrilled to be a part of this great institution as a parent. He emphasized the great goal of a parent and a teacher in the upbringing ofa child. Later he was felicitated by the Manager by offering a memento as a token of love from LCS family.
The top achievers of the X and XII students along with their parents were felicitated by the dignitaries. The felicitation was conducted by Ms Deepa D’Souza, Ms Vidhya Joseph and Ms Violet D’Souza. The Manager and the Principal congratulated the outgoing achievers and wished them the best in their future endeavours. It was put on record that LCS secured 100% result for the year 2014-2015.
The Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza addressed the gathering and thanked the LCS family for the warm welcome that he received. He threw light on the role of the institution that is to prepare the learners for life. He updated the parents onthe strength of the school and number of the teaching faculty. The new recruits and the teaching staff were introduced to the parents.
The Principal put forward a few important guidelines to the parents and requested them to do the needful so as to maintain better understanding of the discipline in school.He appreciated and thanked the parents for their valuable suggestions and would implement them in a progressive way. He also stated that the parents are the biggest strength of LCS.
The Principal shared the good news that the school has received International School Award by the British Council for three years. He expressed his gratitude and appreciated the dedicated work done by the Former Principal Rev Fr Michael Lobo.
The Principal mentioned that the school is eager to implement
Extra- Curricular activities on extra payment.
The endowment scholarships.
He would like parents to sponsor for sports and other activities.
The Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza thanked the parents for the whole hearted support and cooperation as always.
The resource person for the day Sr Carmelita spoke on good parenting which was much appreciated by the parents.
Later the election of the representatives of the PTEC Executive Members for the year 2015-16 was conducted.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks by Fr Alphonse.
The PTA session was informative, interactive and effective.
