Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school cabinet was formed at Lourdes Central School and the investiture ceremony was held on 19/6/2015 in the Bejai Church hall.
Dr. Krishna Nayak, Principal, AB Shetty Dental College and former president of IDA was the chief guest of the function. The function was presided over by Rev Fr. Wilson L Vitus D’souza, the Manager of LCS. The Principal Rev Fr. Robert D’souza and Vice Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas were also present on the occasion.
Sakshi Shetty and Aena of class 10th anchored the programme while Sakshi Sudhakar of class 10th delivered the welcome address. Rev Fr. Alphonse Jojo introduced the chief guest to the audience.
Aishwarya Mathew of class 12th A was selected as the Head Girl.
Keith Veigas of class 11th B was selected as the Head boy.
Dr. Krishna Nayak, the chief guest of the day gave the badges to the ministers and the Manager, Rev Fr Wilson L Vitus D’souza presented the sashes. The Principal, Rev Fr Robert D’souza administered the oath to the members of the cabinet.
In his address, the Chief Guest Dr Krishna Nayak appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like these. He also congratulated the newly appointed school cabinet members for their preparedness to take responsibilities and cautioned them against allowing such responsibilities hinder their academics. He said “Instead use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both. He wished well to all the members of the school cabinet.
In his Presidential address, the Manager Rev Fr Wilson V D’Souza gave a call to every member of the School cabinet to be exemplary to other students and serve them well.
The Principal thanked the Chief Guest and wished the members of the Cabinet well. He encouraged them to do as they say and say what they do.
Simran of Class X proposed the Vote of thanks and the programme concluded with the singing of the School anthem.
