“Love art in yourself and not yourself in art” –Constantin Stanislavski
The “ MUSICAL PLAY” , a fusion of music, dance and drama was organized by the literary committee under the guidance of Ms. Violet D’souza with the intention of nurturing creative and artistic skills in the students of 11th and 12th. It was held on 28 August, 2014 in the School Auditorium. The program began with the invocation by the students of 11th and 12th. It was followed by a warm welcome extended by Sthuthi Sadananda of class 11. The members of the jury Mrs. Lovie Rebello, Mrs.Patcy Lobo and Mrs. Matilda Pinto were introduced to the audience by Aditi Bhat , Akshar Sharma and Ibrahim Faizan respectively. This was followed by a succession of plays that portrayed different moral values. Four groups, two from 11th and two from 12th put up marvelous shows that symbolized values like ‘love’, ‘trust’, ‘forgiveness’ and ‘sincerity’. The audience was enthralled by the performances as each team was loaded with entertainment and was engaged throughout as Vernon Rodrigues and Deon Marlan from class 12 made their entries with their stand-up comedy. Towards the end of the program the members of the jury helped the students introspect for further improvement. Dheeraj Lobo of class 11 expressed gratitude and ended the program on a pleasant note. We are thankful to our Principal, Rev. Fr Michael Lobo, for giving us an opportunity to display our talents and abilities.
