World Environment Day 2016

Lourdes Central School celebrated the World Environment Day on the 6th of June, Monday 2016. The theme was “Save Paper- Save Trees”. The students of class 10 conducted the assembly at 8.00am during which they had organized a short programme compered by Daphne and Ananya of class 10A. A skit on “controlling pollution in our surroundings” was enacted  by class 10 students .A melodious song was sung by the choir group . Haniya of class 10A enlightened the students on the importance of environment . Ms. Jesta the representative of “ Save Paper-Save Trees” campaign updated us with the present condition of the environment ill- effects of cutting trees and gave us some tips on conserving trees. The Principal Rev Father Robert D’Souza in his address advised to support the campaign and highlighted on the importance of saving the environment through a paper drive. The unused papers would be collected from all students to prepare rough books.
