AD-MANIA Competition 2017 – 2018
Great thoughts converted to practice will become great accomplishments.
The students of Lourdes Central School through their determination and creativity had put up a splendid Ad-Mania show on 28 July 2017.
The competition was organised by the English Department for the students of class VII – VIII as a group Enrichment Activity. The competition was judged by
The aims of the Ad-mania competition are to give students an opportunity to:
- Use English in a creative and motivating way;
- Experiment with script writing; and
- Learn to develop communication and acting skills and how to stage an Ad-mania show.
The prelims’ were held on 25th and 26th of July. The students were divided into groups and each team prepared an advertisement with a suitable slogan, logo with a presentation highlighting the characteristics of the product.
The following topics were given for the Ad-mania competition:
Class VI _ KitchenWare
Class VII _ Fashion Accessories
Class VII _ Textile / Clothing
The Principal Rev. Fr. Robert D’souza motivated the students. He said that the concept of the show was unique and it gave a platform for young talented students to participate and unveil their abilities to perform and yet be creative. He wished them luck.
The Ad-mania show was a true learning experience to the young learners.
