CBSE-Happy Classrooms Training at LCS

The capacity building programme on Happy Classroom was conducted for the teachers of  Lourdes Central School, Mangalore on 30 May 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the AV room.

The resource persons for the day were Ms. Akshatha R Shenoy, Principal, Amrita Vidyalayam School and Mr Girish Kumar, Principal Podar International School, Mangalore.

The first session was conducted by Mr Girish, who stated that Happy teachers create Happy Classroom. He explained the domains of Emotional Intelligence like Self Awareness, Self-Management, Self-Motivation, Relationship Manager and Social Awareness.

In the second session Ms Akshatha Shenoy introduced the pathways to happiness and demonstrated the ways to foster happiness in the classrooms. The entire session was replete with various hands on activities that kept the teachers’ energy-level high and at the sametime gave an insight of the ways and means to create a happy classroom

The seven hour session concluded with teachers participating in the Mood Metre Activity and also answering a questionnaire.

Rev Fr Robert Dsouza, Principal Lourdes Central School, spoke high of the two Resource Persons and honoured them with a memento. The Vice Principals Ms Belita Mascarenhas and Ms Anita Thomas were also among the dignitaries. Ms. Theresa Monteiro delivered the vote of thanks.

Ms. Harshitha Shetty was the convener and the MC for the session. The capacity building programme concluded with the National Anthem.
