Club Finale 2024-25

The Club Finale of all the 15 clubs of the academic year 2024- 25 was held on March 1, 2025 at 8.00 a.m On LCS school grounds. The students of classes I-VIII, along with Fr Principal, Rev Fr. Johnson Sequeira , Vice Principal madams, Ms. Belita Mascharenas and Ms. Anita Thomas and teachers were present for the programme. The chief guest of the programme was Ms. Jane Noronha who is a famous artist and also a psychologist.

The students of music club sang a beautiful prayer song which helped to seek God’s blessings for the programme followed by the intentions led by the students of the poets and authors club.

The students of junior quiz club extended a multilingual and genial welcome to the audience in a unique way that was very pleasing to the audience. The thought which was apt for the day was read by the students of heritage club.  The importance of having club activities at the school level was enumerated by Simra of the senior dance club.

The following club members presented a splendid performance highlighting the importance of their club and insights gained from various activities carried out throughout the academic year.

  • Chess club- Explained the role of each piece in chess and the significance of chess a mind game which helps an individual to enhance his/her memory.
  • Artificial Intelligence club – students gave a glimpse of their club activities through a short role play.
  • Rockets club- Presented their report in a unique way as a conversation between the astronauts and officers in the space station.
  • Bulbul and cubs club – Display of their exercise routine.
  • Scouts and guides- A skit on how the key principles of scouts and guides help to shape their behaviour.
  • All round doctor – Educated the audience about the symptoms of common diseases and home remedies that can be used to fight against such diseases

 It was a fun filled and enriching experience for both the presenters and audience. As soon as the display was over, the dais was set for the formal function. The chief guest of the programme was introduced to the audience by Madam Chandini Chitraveer, the programme convener. Ms. Jane Noronha was felicitated and she was indeed overwhelmed to share her insights and walk down the memory lane throwing light on how ups and downs in her life has helped her to become an artist. She proudly said that her children who are ex lourdites have been moulded in Lourdes Central School imbibing values and ethics in their personal life. She thanked the school for being the foundation of their life and elucidated with example as to how LCS has become the reason for their growth and all-round development. Madam said that she is deeply connected to art and it has become her lifeline since many years. She stressed on the sentence “The path of becoming an artist is not easy” which made the students realize that achievement in any field is not easy without consistent efforts. She highlighted the importance of hard work and dedication to achieve success in any field be it academic or non- academic. Every individual is born with talents and is unique in his/ her own way. She insisted the students to pursue along with their passion, dream big and reach great heights. The Principal Rev. Fr. Johnson L Sequiera, in his speech, highlighted the role of having club activities at school level which help in shaping the future of the child making it bright and beautiful.  He thanked all the staff members and students for their active participation and incessant efforts in carrying out various activities throughout the year.  Children celebrating their birthdays were wished.  Prabhav Bhagavat of the financial literacy club proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended at 9.10 a.m. with a tone of positivity and students were delighted about the entire event wherein they could showcase their talents.
