Parent Teacher Interactive Session II – Grade 1 and 2

The second Interactive session for the academic year 2024-2025 was conducted in the rooftop auditorium for classes 1 and 2 on 07.03.2025.  The session began at 8.15 a.m. The Principal, Fr Johnson L Sequeira, Vice Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas were present for the meeting. The session began with a prayer song sung by the students of grade 2, trained by Mr. Roshan Cordeiro the Music Teacher. Ms. Vinitha Dsouza compered the programme and also welcomed the gathering.

The teachers of class 1 and 2 briefed on each subject. Ms Sunita K briefed on the exam schedule.

Queries and suggestions were welcomed from the parents and Fr. Johnson L Sequeira the principal guided on the same.

Parents appreciated the work done by the teachers to build up the overall growth of their wards. A few concerns were raised by parents are as follows:

*Grade- 1 Kannada text book has only pictures which is very difficult for the non-Kannada speaking parents to guide their wards.

*All should be given a chance to come up to the stage to take part in the assembly and other programmes.

*Messages to be communicated well in advance regarding extra-curricular classes.

*Some students lag behind in Hindi and Kannada languages.

*Marks to be given for knowing the answer.

Father principal gave solutions to all the queries and the doubts were clarified.

Ms Belita Mascarenhas the vice principal said that those lagging behind in Hindi and Kannada, should learn varnmala. As a parent they should learn the language and teach their ward. She also suggested not to go for marks but to strengthen the basics of their wards.

In conclusion father principal thanked all for their whole hearted support. A few inputs were given. He suggested to have a stress free environment and encourage the learning speed of every student.

The interactive session ended with the school anthem.
