VANAMAHOTSAVA CELEBRATION – 7th JULY 2018
“Forests are the World’s, air conditioning system- the lungs of the planet and we are on the verge of switching it on”.
On 7th July 2018, the eco club students organized school assembly on the topic ‘Vanamahotsava’. The programme was compered by Auraltina of class 8A.Sarah of class 7C enlightened our minds by an inspiring thought on nature and Parikshit with the news headlines. Haifa of class 8C and Meghana of class 12A spoke about the festival of trees and told the importance of saving trees. Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza, Vice Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas, teachers, students of the eco club planted a sapling in the school lobby with the slogans “Save Trees, Save Earth”. There is a saying, “Trees with breeze, seek nature’s bliss and peace”. This means that whatever happens, we need nature. As it is Vanamahotsava, it is important to plant a tree, as we plant one, we have more benefits. Stop sticking to deforestation and love nature.
