Visit to Kadri park -“KALA PARBA” Art and Craft Exhibition

On January 11, 20, a group of  53 students from Heritage club and craft club accompanied by Ms.Teresa Montero and Sr.Regeena Xavier   visited the Art and Craft Exhibition held at Kadri park. The exhibition showcased a wide array of artistic works and craft items from different artists. It aimed to promote creativity, craftsmanship, and the cultural diversity of art forms.

To explore and learn about various collections of art and craft and to know more about the cultural Heritage.

The exhibition featured a combination of traditional and contemporary art, with a focus on various mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, and mixed media installations. The collection was divided into different sections based on artistic themes, ranging from abstract art to detailed depictions of nature, and from handmade crafts to digital art expressions.

Some notable sections included:

  • Painting and Drawing: Featuring oil, acrylic, and water colours, as well as charcoal and pencil sketches.
  • Textile and Craft Works: Hand-woven textiles, handmade jewellery, and functional crafts like pottery and wood carvings were displayed.

The overall experience was highly engaging and educational. Students had the opportunity to interact with the artists, ask questions, and gain insight into their techniques, inspirations, and creative processes.

The atmosphere was lively, and the exhibition provided a platform for cultural exchange and appreciation of diverse art forms. It was evident that the exhibition aimed not only to showcase art but also to foster a deeper understanding of the artistic world.

The Art and Craft Exhibition was a resounding success, offering a vibrant space for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work. It was an enriching experience for all of us, especially the students who have an artistic mind. It was an opportunity of offering a unique opportunity to appreciate the creativity, talent, and skill of artists from various backgrounds. The visit was both enjoyable and educational, leaving a lasting impression on the students.
