Lourdes Central School, Kindergarten Section joyfully celebrated Green Day with the Pre-KG students on Saturday, 4th July 2026, under the theme “Green Vibes; Better lives.”
Children joyfully celebrated Green Day. The classroom was decorated in shades of green, and the children dressed in vibrant green outfits.
The celebration began with a Leaf Tracing Activity, where the children traced different types of leaves, enhancing their observation skills, fine motor development, and creativity.
They also participated in the “Fill the Basket with Green” activity, where they identified and sorted pictures of green fruits, vegetables, and other green objects into a basket. This fun-filled activity helped reinforce colour recognition, vocabulary, and classification skills.
The highlight of the day was the Nature Walk, during which the children explored the school surroundings, observed trees, plants, flowers, and other natural elements, and appreciated the beauty of the green environment. The walk encouraged curiosity, sensory exploration, and a sense of responsibility towards caring for nature.
The Green Day celebration was an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience that fostered creativity, environmental awareness, observation skills, and a love for nature while making learning fun and interactive.
