The birthday of Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira, Father Principal, was celebrated with warmth and joy at Lourdes Central School on 11th August 2026. The celebration was held at 8:00 AM in the LCS Conference Hall and brought together members of the school community to express their affection, respect and heartfelt wishes to the Father Principal on his special day.
The programme was conducted in a graceful and prayerful atmosphere. The celebration began with the welcome and introduction, followed by a prayer dance and prayer service. The welcome speech was delivered by Rhea along with the robot Iris, making the opening of the celebration more exciting, lively and fun. “Thought for the Day was shared by Ahana Brijesh.
The birthday celebration that followed was a special part of the programme. The birthday prayer was led by Dhriti P, followed by the birthday song. The much-awaited cake-cutting ceremony added a cheerful touch to the celebration. The cake was cut amidst the happy presence of the school community, and the students of Grade 1 enthusiastically cheered as the Father Principal cut the cake, making the moment particularly joyful and memorable.
The celebration continued with the presentation of bouquets to the Father Principal by the Academic Coordinators, followed by a bouquet presentation by the Head Boy and Head Girl. These gestures conveyed the love, respect and good wishes of the school community.
The birthday wishes continued with greetings from the staff and students. Their warm wishes added to the spirit of togetherness and made the occasion a meaningful celebration for the Father Principal.
The programme was compered by Monish Ravuri, Ninad K, Kiara Rusquinha, Deepika Lobo and Hiba Mushtaq, who guided the programme through its various segments
The Manager, in his address, spoke appreciatively about the Father Principal and highlighted the significance of the letters in his name. He described “J” as representing Joy, “L” as representing Leadership, and “S” as representing Service. The address beautifully brought out these qualities as values that reflect the personality and contribution of the Father Principal.
