LCS ANNUAL DAY 2025 – Class 1-6

“Expressions Alive! A stage for every voice”

The Annual day of classes 1 to 6 was celebrated with great pomp and show on 20th November, 2025 in the school grounds with a performance from each class woven with the theme “Expressions Alive! A stage for every voice”. The tone for the programme was set by the symphonic orchestra of the school choir. The programme started with a solemn prayer song and a graceful welcome dance.
The NCC cadets of LCS carried the school flag with pride and the school band presented the guard of honour to the guests. The enthusiastic scouts and guides and the compassionate red cross members accorded a warm welcome to the dignitaries. The house captains of Opal, Coral, Jade and Amber carried the house flags with utmost honour and dignity.

Rev Dr. Praveen Martis, SJ, the Vice Chancellor of St. Aloysius Deemed to be University was the Chief Guest, Philanthropist Mr. Michael D’Souza was the Guest of honour. The School Manager Rev Dr. J B Saldanha presided over the function. Rev. Fr. Norman Mathias, Rev Dr. Vincent Sequeira, Rev Fr Royden Misquith, Ms Avitha Cynthia Pinto, the secretary of Bejai Parish Pastoral Parishad, Rev Fr Arul Joseph, Ms Anita Thomas, the Vice Principal, PTEC Vice President Dr Rashmi D’Souza, Deputy Headboy Jaden Baptist, Deputy Headgirl Eva Lobo were present.

Ethan Crasta, Nirvi Kamath, Sara Ayrin, Inaya Ahmed, Aarush Mallyar, S Aadhvik, Dhimahi A, Shrihan Rao Beeranthabail, Mohammad Arsh Hidayathulla Shaikh, Shivansh Malik, Arav Shaan Mohammad, Natlyn Aurelia Miranda and James Andrew Sequeira of Class 1 Welcomed the Gathering,

The school management warmly felicitated guest of honour Mr. Michael D’Souza and the Chief Guest Rev Dr. Praveen Martis, SJ for their contributions to field of education and social service.

Chief guest Dr Praveen Martis SJ praised the theme ‘Expressions Alive – A Stage for Every Voice’ and lauded LCS’s journey since 1999. He congratulated the management, principal and faculty for nurturing vision and values in students. Highlighting the evolving landscape of education, he urged attention to the humanisation of technology ensuring digital skills are guided by compassion and purpose. He encouraged the students to cultivate vision, purpose and compassion so they may become responsible global citizens.
The Principal Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira presented the annual report in an audio visual mode. He proudly announced that altogether 1066 students are participating in the programme.
The Manager urged students to be morally responsible and spiritually rich. He gave a call to the parents to facilitate the integral growth of their children by spending quality time with them.
The Guest of Honor, Mr. Michael D’Souza insisted on students to prioritise Self Respect, honesty, hard work and responsibility. Furthermore, to be wise in choosing friends as friendship has a lasting effect on one’s personality. Proud Lourdites, the International Junior Model, Master Rushabh Rao and International Junior chess champion Master Aayiu Atindrya Shetty were felicitated for their achievements at the national and international level.

The formal programme was compered by students of class 5 – Lera Elize Monteiro, Abel Roji Joseph, Kiana Bharath, Samaksh Shetty and Ridhima Pai while the cultural programme was beautifully anchored by students of class 6 – Joshma Rodrigues , Ahan Prakash Rao, Dhwani Rajeesh, Hridhya Shetty H, Pradhan P Shetty, Mohammed Rayyan Ibrahim, Sanvika a P.
The themes chosen by every class:
“The magic of kindness” by class 1
“Where there is love, there is Joy” by class 2
“Dream big, shine bright, every child is an artist” by class 3
“Donate organs, save lives” by class 4
“From Oops to Wow” by class 5 and
“Hearts across generations” by class 6 were intricately woven together to truly bring the students’ expressions alive. This left the audience awestruck and speechless.
Students of class 6 Ananya Ganu, Gera Prashika, Juan Furtado, Nicole Patrao, John Varakala and Hammid Godil proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme concluded with the theme song by the school choir.
