Lourdes Central School

"Peace through Knowledge"

HISTORY OF SCHOOL AND OF FORMER MANAGERS AND PRINCIPALS

A dream remains a dream unless put into action.

Lourdes Central School (LCS) is the realization of such a vision—a seed sown 26 years ago that has grown into a flourishing tree deeply rooted in quality and value-based education.

Our Beginning

Foundation and Early Growth

LCS began its journey under the patronage of Our Lady of Lourdes and the dynamic leadership of Late Rev. Fr Bernard L D'Souza, who founded the school on 1st June 1999 in the Bejai Church Commercial Complex with 230 students and 12 staff members.

Within a year, the school shifted to its own magnificent four-storeyed building, marking the beginning of its steady growth. Today, the school proudly educates over 2,200 students, guided by the motto "Peace through Knowledge."

The school emblem—an open book, candle, and dove—reflects the pursuit of enlightenment, wisdom, and harmony.
