Report on Public Speaking Program Showcase

Lourdes Central School successfully hosted the Public Speaking Showcase on 5th March 2026. The event, conducted in partnership with QShala as the Curiosity Partner, provided students with an opportunity to showcase the confidence and communication skills they have developed through the QShala Public Speaking Program.
The program was gracefully compered by Adithya Jatin Rao of Grade 7. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Kaashvi Shetty of Grade 3.
Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequiera addressed the parents and students, interacting warmly with them and inviting the students to share what they had learned throughout the year. He encouraged the students to thank their parents for enrolling them in the program. He also shared how he has introduced paperless assemblies in the school to help build students’ confidence and encouraged them to interact more with one another.
He expressed his appreciation to the QShala team, Ms. Flavia D’Cunha, the instructor, and Mr. Alwin Lobo, Sales Manager, for their efforts in guiding the students.
Students also shared their learning experiences from the QShala sessions. The speakers included Mihira Nedungadi of Grade 6, Diya S Kotian of Grade 4, Gera Prashika of Grade 6, Shravya Vishnudas Prabhu of Grade 6,Gouri Nithin of Grade 6, Trishika Prabhakar Shetty of grade 4, Aadhyan A of Grade 3, Hitha Achar of Grade 9, and K. Rohit of Grade 6, who spoke about how the program helped them build confidence and improve their communication skills.
A Current Affairs segment was conducted by Ahan Prakash Rao B of Grade 5, Nabhaan Abdul Musawwir of Grade 5, and Reuben Brendan Dias of Grade 3, which kept the audience engaged and informed.
Certificates were handed over to the participants by Rev. Father Johnson L. Sequeira, who appreciated the students for their efforts and encouraged them to continue developing their public speaking abilities.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Reya Katherine Dias of Class 6 and Liorah Elizeb Jiji of Class 6.
The showcase served as a wonderful platform for students to express themselves confidently and celebrate their learning journey.
