On 6 March 2026, Lourdes Central School celebrated International Women’s Day with a special morning assembly organized and conducted by the male staff of the institution.
The assembly began by invoking the blessings of the Almighty. A divine prayer song was sung by the choir led by Mr. Roshal Cordeiro. Mr. Praveen Pinto enlightened the gathering with the Thought for the Day, followed by Mr. Henry Mascarenhas, who spoke about the significance of the day and highlighted the contributions of women in society.
Winners of the various competitions conducted in connection with Women’s Day were felicitated by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira. The Principal then addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message on the importance of celebrating and respecting women in all spheres of life.
A group photograph of the vibrant women teachers was also taken to mark the occasion. The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Vice Principal, Ms. Anita Thomas.
