Grade 8 Annual Picnic 2026

Waves of Fun-Uva Meridian Water Park.

Total Strength: 135 Students, along with 8 Teaching and 3 Non-Teaching Staff
Destination: Uva Meridian Water Park, Kundapura

The 8th-grade school trip to Uva Meridian Water Park in Kundapura started with lots of excitement. A total of 135 students, along with their teachers and school staff, gathered at the school early in the morning between 06:00 AM and 06:30 AM. Before starting the day, prayer was conducted. Everyone was given a tasty breakfast to give them energy. After eating, the teachers divided the students into groups by class, keeping boys and girls in separate groups so it was easy to take care of them. The teachers then handed out biscuits and oranges to every student for the road. At 07:00 AM sharp, the journey began in four school buses. The trip started beautifully with a morning prayer, and the ride was filled with fun, music, and laughter all the way to the water park.
The buses arrived safely at the destination at 09:00 AM. The water park management welcomed the school warmly and served everyone a refreshing welcome drink. By 10:00 AM, everyone was ready and walked inside the water park.
At first, it was raining a little bit, but soon the rain stopped and the sun came out, leaving a beautiful clear sky for the rest of the day. The students had a wonderful time trying out different water activities. They enjoyed the funny frog ride, the boat-shaped swing, and many colourful water sliders. The best part of the whole day was the wave pool, where almost all the students gathered to swim and jump in the big waves. Besides the water games, the children also visited the scary horror house, walked through the confusing glass house, and looked at the fun tricks inside the illusion park.
After playing for two hours, it was time for lunch at 1:00 PM. The park served a delicious Biryani lunch with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options so that everyone could enjoy their favourite food. For dessert, every student received a cold kulfi ice cream. After lunch, the students went back to have more fun until 03:00 PM, cassata ice cream was served then. At 04:00 PM, the teachers took attendance, and everyone boarded the buses to go home. The group arrived safely back at the school at 06:00 PM, ending a wonderful day full of happy memories.
