Counselling session for class VIII

“Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing.”

A counselling session was organised for the students of class VIII. Session began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song. The session started with a welcome speech given by Saanvi Bhandary of class VIII.  She welcomed the speakers – the Vice Principal Ms.Anita Thomas, the school counsellor Sr.Regina Xavier.

The vice principal, Ms. Anitha Thomas, briefed the students  about discipline  and bullying.

Physical Bullying: Hurting someone’s body on purpose. Ex-Kicking, slapping, punching, pushing etc.

Verbal Bullying: Hurting someone by saying or writing mean things, Ex-calling names, teasing, threatening, etc.

 Social Bullying: Hurting someone through spreading false news. Ex. Spreading rumours, ruining reputation, etc.

Cyber Bullying: Hurting someone through social media. Ex- hurtful texts, spreading nasty rumours online, etc.

She showed thestudents the two circulars issued by CBSE, one on 9th March 2015 and the other on 3rd November 2020, regarding the issues on bullying and the anti-bullying committee which was to be made by the schools, consisting of the principal and 7 other members.

Vice principal ma’am also told the students the importance of respecting elders.

 The session was handed over to the Counsellor, Sr. Regina Xavier, who spoke about healthy relationships.

  3. Less behaviour problems
  4. Ambitious to achieve you goals
  5. Increase your sense of worth.
