Eid Celebration 2025

On the morning of June 11th, Lourdes Central School witnessed a thoughtful presentation of values that transcend tradition — sacrifice, patience, and faith —by the students of Grade 10 marking Eid-al-Adha.

The programme opened with the Universal Prayer and Prayer Song, setting a reflective tone. A recitation of Surah Al-Asr by Farhan (10A), followed by an English translation by Tabifa (10A), gently reminded the gathering of the fleeting nature of time and the importance of righteous living.

A highlight of the assembly was a skit that portrayed the story of Ibrahim and Ismail with sincerity and restraint. The cast featured Simra (10C) as the narrator, Hayyan (10C) as Ibrahim, Arayn (10C) as Ismail, Adnan (10B) as Ibrahim in the dream, and Aiz (10E) as Iblees — each delivering their role with quiet conviction.

A soulful rendition of “Rahmatun Lil Alameen” by the student choir, accompanied on piano by Jacob (8C), added depth to the occasion.

Principal Rev. Fr. Johnson L Sequeira commended the students and Vice Principal Ms. Anita Thomas, noting the dignity and meaning embedded in the assembly. The programme concluded with the school anthem.

The assembly was  gracefully anchored by Shazil and Iqra of Class 10A.
