Parent Teacher Interactive Session of Grade 1-2 2024
The first interactive session for the academic year 2024 – 2025 was conducted in the Bejai Church Hall for classes 1 and 2 on 11- 06-2024.
The session began at 8.30 a.m. The Manager Rev Dr. John Baptist Saldanha, Principal, Fr. Johnson L Sequeira, Vice Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas were present for the meeting.
The students of class 2 sang the prayer song trained by Mr. Roshan Cordeiro the Music teacher.
Ms. Francisca Dsouza compered the programme and Ms. Lisa Peres welcomed the gathering.
The Manager Rev Fr. Dr John Baptist Saldanha introduced the new principal to the gathering. The manager highlighted one of Fr. Principal’s qualities during his speech –that is, his exceptional sense of time, which is crucial for effective leadership and management. He wished good luck to the principal and the staff and also asked the parents to co-operate in every possible ways.
Later The teachers introduced themselves and briefed about the subjects they handle. The Exam Coordinator Ms Suneetha explained the pattern of assessment for classes 1 and 2.
Ms Pamela conducted the election for PTEC and parents volunteered to be the representatives for the academic year 2024-2025. Names of the PTEC members are as follows:

The session was then open for queries and suggestions. Parents raised concern about the following issues.
- To help children to handle the umbrella and rain coats.
- To send Value Education, GK, Catechism books home every fort night.
- A message can be sent by WhatsApp regarding the work to be done at home.
- Time table of the classes should be sent home.
- Competition should be conducted in a simple way in the school itself.
- To have more conversation in Hindi during the Hindi Period.
- Concern whether there is games period everyday.
The Principal in his address to the gathering, thanked the parents for choosing LCS for their child’s educational development.
Principal answered the queries and following suggestions were given.
- Competition conducted will be informed well in advance.
- No change in let off time.
- Requested parents to follow carpooling to help in reducing the traffic and keep the environment clean.
- From Tuesday 18.6.2024 there will be one on one interaction with the parents. The time slot will be sent in group by 12.06.2024
- Whatsapp messages regarding any follow up or activity will be sent.
- Asked the parents to teach the children the difficulties in life so that they can face any situation boldly.
The principal thanked the gathering for attending the meeting.
The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms Sangeeta at 9:40 am.
