Pen Inauguration Ceremony 2026

Theme: “From Pencil to Pen – A Journey Towards Maturity”
The Pen Inauguration Ceremony for the students of Grade 4 was conducted with great joy and
enthusiasm. The programme marked an important milestone in the students’ learning journey as
they transitioned from using pencils to using pens, symbolising their growth, maturity and
increased responsibility.
The occasion was graced by our respected Father Principal, Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira; Vice
Principal, Mrs. Anitha Thomas; Academic Coordinator, Mrs. Sunitha; parent representatives;
teachers of Grade 4; students; and parents.
The programme began with a prayer and a welcome address, followed by the inauguration
ceremony. The students presented a skit on the importance of pens and their colours, an action
song and a dance performance. A special highlight of the event was the distribution of the
students’ first pens by the dignitaries and parent representatives.
The students then took an oath of responsibility, pledging to use their pens wisely and value the
gift of education. The Father Principal addressed the gathering and shared words of wisdom and
encouragement, emphasising the importance of learning and the responsibility that comes with
this new stage.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the School Anthem. The event was
a memorable and meaningful experience for the students, inspiring them to embrace this new
chapter of learning with confidence, care and responsibility.
