Report on the Orientation Programme for the LCS Staff – 25.05.2026

The Orientation Programme for the LCS Staff was conducted on Monday, 25th May 2026, from 7.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The programme was arranged to extend a warm welcome to the New Manager, invoke God’s blessings upon the school building and provide an opportunity for the staff to interact and prepare for the new academic year.
The day began with a grand Guard of Honour for the new Manager, Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, followed by a prayer service in the school lobby. The programme was compered by Ms Pamela. The prayer service, led by Mr Roshan Cordeiro and the staff choir, included the Entrance Hymn, Scripture Reading by Ms Linet D’Souza and prayer intentions. A special prayer was offered seeking God’s grace, guidance and protection for the institution and everyone gathered.
The blessing of the school building was solemnly carried out by Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira, Rev. Fr. Norman Mathias and Rev. Fr. Jeevan D’Souza. The ceremony was a meaningful and memorable moment for the entire school community. Following the final blessing and concluding hymn, a group photograph was taken. The staff then assembled in the Summit Hall for the formal session. Seated on the dais were the Manager, Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira; the Principal, Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira; the Vice Principal, Ms Anita Thomas and the Academic Coordinators, Ms Shanthi Menezes, Ms Suneetha K. and Ms Deepa D’Souza. Fr. Principal warmly welcomed the gathering and formally introduced the new Manager, Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira to the LCS family through his welcome address.
As a token of honour and appreciation, the new Manager was felicitated with a shawl and a statue of Mother of Lourdes. The newly appointed teachers were welcomed into the LCS family with roses presented by the Manager. The staff members also introduced themselves to the new Manager. Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira then addressed the gathering sharing his vision, thoughts and motivating words as the staff prepared to begin the academic year.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms Lisa Peres, who sincerely thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the programme. The formal session concluded with the School Anthem.
Refreshments were served afterwards providing the staff an opportunity for fellowship and interaction. The programme continued with a staff meeting led by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira, during which important matters related to the institution and the upcoming academic year were discussed.
The Orientation Programme was truly a prayerful, inspiring and enriching experience that promoted unity among the staff and marked a positive and meaningful beginning to the new academic year.
