Celebration by the students
The 63rd birthday of our esteemed Rev. Father Manager Dr. John Baptist Saldanha, was celebrated with great joy and reverence on 28th October 2025 in the school ground. The entire ground came alive with smiles, laughter and music, reflecting the warmth and affection the Lourdes family holds for their beloved Father. The atmosphere was lively and filled with warmth as students, staff, and management gathered to express their love and gratitude.
Father Manager was warmly welcomed with a gracious guard of honour, accompanied by dignitaries and enthusiastic ushers from Class I. The celebration began with a heart-warming welcome dance by the students of Class VIII, followed by a soulful prayer intention and a melodious prayer song that filled the atmosphere with serenity and gratitude. The Class VIII students then extended a cheerful and heartfelt welcome address to the gathering. A cake-cutting ceremony marked the sweet beginning of the celebration, accompanied by a touching birthday prayer by the KG students and a delightful song presented by the school choir. The Principal, Vice Principal, coordinators, student representatives and staff conveyed their heartfelt birthday wishes, expressing deep admiration for Father’s inspiring leadership and guidance. In a thoughtful gesture, potted plants were presented as gifts — a symbol of growth, life and the green values that Father deeply cherishes. Ms. Lolita Coelho extended her warm birthday wishes to Father Manager. The highlight of the celebration came from the senior secondary students, who presented a poetic offering titled “From Vision to Action” — a beautiful and heartfelt expression of admiration and affection for Father Manager
Rev. Fr. Johnson, the Principal, in his address, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the birthday celebrant for enlightening the LCS family with his innovative ideas, out-of-the-box thinking and his attentive listening to every aspect and individual within the institution. Father Manager, delighted by the thoughtful celebration, expressed his appreciation to everyone for their love and efforts in making the day so special. He further inspired the gathering with a thought-provoking story that emphasized the importance of hard work and the value of perseverance, encouraging everyone never to compromise even in challenging or discouraging situations.
The memorable celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a joyous and meaningful occasion. Students also relished the ice-cream. The entire programme was executed and presented by the students of class VIIIC. The celebration radiated love and unity, leaving behind memories rooted as deeply as the plants gifted that day.
Celebration by the staff
The birthday of Rev. Dr. John Baptist Saldanha, Manager of LCS, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at 2:30 P.M at the LCS Conference Hall. The event, organized by the LCS staff, was filled with gratitude, joy, and love. The celebration began with a prayer song seeking God’s blessings for good health and happiness. Ms. Sangeetha Salins delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, setting a cheerful tone for the programme. A melodious wishing song by the staff added to the festive spirit, followed by the cake-cutting ceremony amid applause. A special video presentation showcased memorable moments and achievements of the celebrant. The staff also presented a thoughtful gift as a token of love and appreciation. Fun game brought laughter and liveliness to the event. Principal Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira extended his wishes and praised Father’s inspiring leadership.
In his address, Rev. Dr. John Baptist Saldanha expressed heartfelt gratitude and the celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Lavita Dsouza and high tea. The entire programme was compered by Ms. Pamela Mianda.
