Parent Teacher interactive session – Class IX

Lourdes Central School organized Parent Teacher Interactive Session on 8th January 2026 at 8.15a.m. in the Roof Top Auditorium for the students of Class IX and their parents with the objective of guiding, motivating, and preparing them for the upcoming Preparatory Examination and Annual Examination.

The programme commenced with a prayer song sung by the students of Class IX, invoking the blessings of the Almighty. This was followed by a warm and inspiring welcome address, by Ms Padmashree Bhat, setting a positive and encouraging tone for the session. The subject teachers briefed the parents on subject-wise expectations, preparation strategies, and areas of focus. Their insights emphasized clarity of concepts, regular practice, disciplined study habits, and effective time management.

To provide parents and students with a clear understanding of examination protocols, the Exam Cell Coordinator, Ms Gretta Menezes, presented a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation offering a bird’s-eye view of the Preparatory and Annual Examination guidelines, evaluation patterns, and essential instructions, helping to dispel anxieties and reinforce systematic preparation. An interactive parent interaction session followed, during which parents shared their valuable suggestions and constructive feedback.

The highlight of the programme was the Principal’s address – Rev. Fr Johnson L. Sequeira, who motivated parents and students with his words of wisdom, encouragement, and vision. He reminded that examinations are not merely a test of memory but a reflection of perseverance, discipline, and understanding.
He provided well‑defined insights into examination requirements, constructive study approaches, and the development of emotional resilience. He stated that we are here to bridge the gap between preparation and performance, ensuring that their efforts translate into their best possible outcomes. He also briefed the gathering on the academic support provided through Allen Career Institute, emphasizing its role in strengthening students’ preparation.

To further support the academic journey of our students, the team from ALLEN Career Institute was invited to address the students and their parents. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms Seema Madtha expressing gratitude to the Principal, teachers, parents, and students. The session proved to be highly enriching and reassuring, leaving parents confident, students motivated, and the school community united in its goal of guiding students towards excellence in the forthcoming Class IX and Class X Examinations.
