Lcs Pays Tribute to Master Shlok

SHLOK was a student of Class VI.  A bright, robust, fun-loving, charming student of our school.  He joined LCS in the year 2017 and we Lourdite were fortunate to have him in our school.  A boy adored and loved by all of his teachers and friends.  The Lord called him to his heavenly Abode on 10.09.2024 after a brief illness. His fond memories will ever remain in the hearts of every Lourdite.

The LCS staff paid homage to SHLOK on the morning of 11th September.  The entire staff gathered for a prayer service which had intentions, reading from the Bible and Bhagavad-Gita.  Hymns and emotional offerings.  Mrs Vivita D Souza teacher who was very close to SHLOK read heart touching eulogywhich brought tears to all the listeners.  Fr Principal in his message highlighted the aspect of a ‘smile’ which emanated from SHLOK’s face even on this death, he had a perpetual smile which made us think of the beautiful message he gave to the world even in death.

The homage was paid to SHLOK by the entire student community on 12th September 2024.  His parents and relatives joined the students to be a part of the mornings event.  The stillness of the whole school was felt as they offered prayers and intentions for the departed soul of Master SHLOK. The sombre event brought about a stillness that one cannot fathom.

The Principal Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira in his address spoke on SHLOK’s qualities of simplicity, honesty and helpfulness which made him to be loved by all.

Fr Manager Rev Dr J B Saldanha sympathized with the family members assuring them of all support from the school in their time of grief.  Ms Apoline Lobo who had been his teachers for a long time read out a beautiful poem in his memory.  The atmosphere of mournfulness loomed all over the place.  We Lourdites will miss you.

The Entire staff along with a few students visited Shlok’s home to get one last glimpse of their beloved SHLOK adored with flowers as the family members prepared to take him on his last journey.

Indeed, even though a short life spent with us, he has left an everlasting mark on each one of us.
