Principal’s Message

Look for the silver lining in every cloud you see – John Milton

Lourdes Central School is a symbol of positive, progressive and value based quality education. Our motto “Peace Though Knowledge” captures the essence of our Lourdite spirit. Our aim, importantly is to make education a fulfilled, enjoyable, activity oriented learning and growing experience on the solid foundation of values.

It gives me immense pleasure and a feeling of accomplishment when we present before you the “Lourdite 2021-22”.

This year was a mixture of events with more of satisfaction as we could open our schools after the pandemic with the blessings of our school patroness, our Lady of Lourdes.  She protected us under her divine protection and continuous to do so. At a time like this I would like to thank you, my dear parents for your constant support. You have stood by us and showed how much you care for the wellbeing of the Lourdite family.  As we step into the New Year 2022-23, I once again request you too lend a hand to make the teaching learning process a success. Do help in maintaining your ward’s performance and keep on encouraging them with positivity as they are going through immense changes in their body as well the environment.

As for my beloved students, I understand we are going through prodigious changes and developments every day.  I request you not to compromise with your quest for knowledge.  Your only one wish should be looking after your health and excelling in your studies.  Time and tide wait for none and within a short period of time you will see time has elapsed and you have grown. Do make the best of your learning time and keep yourself updated with the latest information and knowledge.

Even if we had online and offline classes, we have conducted all our monthly projects and plans and students have participated in the events with much zeal and sincerity. We do hope and continue to see them fruitfully accomplished.

I am happy to let you know that the new much awaited project of extension of our school building, a separate block for students of classes IX-XII has finally turned out as we had planned. The project on Solar Energy the nature friendly project in our school for resource also has been completed and implemented successfully to generate electricity. Both the projects will be beneficial to our students for better learning and overall development. The Secondary and senior secondary sections are built in accordance to latest NEP policy in the latest contemporary infrastructure.

I would like to thank Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, the Bishop and President of Catholic Board of education, Rev Fr Antony Shera, Secretary of Catholic Board of Education and Rev Dr John Baptist Saldanha the Manager for their immense support and guidance.  I thank the staff, parents, students, friends and well-wishers for their untiring efforts and support the growth of LCS.

Thank you

Regards

Rev Fr Robert D Souza
