Class 9 Picnic to Swarna Green Valley Resort
The students of Class IX, Lourdes Central School, went on their annual picnic on 20th September 2025 to Swarna Green Valley Resort, Perdur, Udupi. The day began at 7:00 a.m. when the students assembled in the corridor hall for instructions, followed by the Principal’s address and the Universal Prayer. Soon after, they boarded the buses class-wise, accompanied by their teachers – Ms. Reema D’Souza, Mr. Rathnakara Achary, Ms. Vidhya Joseph, Ms. Padmashree Bhat, Ms. Seema Madtha, Ms. Swethakiran, Mr. Vishwanath Devadiga, and Molly Aunty.
The group reached the resort at 9:00 a.m. and began the day with a wholesome breakfast. The first activity was a spirited Tug of War, conducted house-wise, in which Amber House emerged victorious in both the girls’ and boys’ categories. This was followed by free time where students explored the resort’s facilities, including cricket, basketball, badminton, and volleyball.
A sumptuous lunch energized the students for the much-awaited water activities. They thoroughly enjoyed swimming and the lively rain dance, held separately for boys and girls. Later, students reassembled class-wise for a headcount, after which Ms. Dhanvi H. Rai of Class IXE proposed the vote of thanks, followed by the Universal Prayer.
The day concluded with evening snacks before departure. The students returned to school by 5:45 p.m., carrying back wonderful memories of a day filled with fun, fellowship, and laughter.
