Official visit by Rev. Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado Secretary, CBE

Lourdes Central School was honoured to welcome Rev. Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado, Secretary of the Catholic Board of Education, Mangaluru on August 22, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize himself with the school’s operations, meet with staff, faculty and students, visit the school office and to go through the official documents and discuss ways to further enhance the school’s academic standards, identity and overall performance.
On his arrival, Rev. Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado was received by the school manager Rev. Dr John Baptist Saldana, Principal Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira and Vice Principals Ms Belita Mascarenhas and Ms Anitha Thomas.
The Secretary, CBE began his visit by meeting with the school’s leadership team to discuss various aspects of school life including curriculum development and student discipline. He also visited several classrooms, observing teaching methods and interacting with students and staff, learning about the school’s programmes and initiatives. He observed student activities, discipline, and overall well-being, noting a positive and supportive school environment. He toured the campus observing all facilities and infrastructure including school office, library, science laboratories, computer, lab, examination centre, etc. Later, the Secretary chaired the staff meeting and addressed the members of the staff motivating that teaching is a noble profession. So let us dedicate ourselves to the progress of our students and school, to be united and grow with the generation and keep ourselves updated.
Rev. Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado expressed appreciation for the school’s overall performance and its efforts in providing quality learning environment. The visit concluded with a positive note, encouraging the school to continue striving for excellence.
