Parent-Teacher Interactive Session of Grade 6 to 8 – 2024

A Parent-Teacher Interactive session for classes 6 to 8 was organized on 13-06-2024 in the Bejai Church Hall at 8.30 am. The session initiated with a prayer song by the choir group.   Ms Vivita D Souza welcomed the gathering. All teachers introduced themselves to the audience.

Father Manager, Rev. Dr J. B Saldanha gave a brief introduction of the new Principal Rev. Fr Johnson Lawrence Sequeira to the gathering. He assured that the culture of the school of the past 25 years will be carried on and upgraded .He advised the parents to take care of their wards by spending time along with the family while having food and during prayers. Father Manager stressed on cleanliness.

The respective subject teachers briefed on the CBSE assessment pattern for the year 2024-2025 with power point presentations. The marks allotted for internal assessment, timely submission of assignments and the Subject Enrichment activities were explained.

The session was then open for queries of the parents. The Principal responded to the queries.  Parents were then requested to volunteer as PTEC members. The following are the names of the representatives for classes VI to VIII.

The Principal Rev Fr Johnson L.  Sequeira addressed the parents. Adding to Father Manager’s speech Fr Principal again asked the parents to give quality time to the children .He briefed about the academic support classes, encouraged car-pooling and the responsibility of each one for the traffic congestion. He also reminded the parents about the Value education and Catechism board exams for classes 7 and 10. He awared the parents about the ragging and bullying which is happening in different forms. Father Principal asked the parents to be aware of the involvement of the students in the social media. He advised the parents to teach life skills to their wards by allowing them to carry their own chores so that they may be victorious and successful in their life. The Principal requested the parents to be happy always and work as a team.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Lavina Serrao. The programme was compered by Ms Dilla Colaco.
