Picnics 2024-Class1-8

Class 1: Kadri Park  
The students and teachers of Class I embarked on an exciting picnic to Kadri Park on Saturday, 23rd November 2024. The trip was organized to provide a break from our academic routine and to foster bonding among classmates. The journey began at 8:30a.m with a prayer invoking God’s blessings and best wishes from the Principal, Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira. We travelled to Kadri Park by school buses which was filled with excitement and anticipation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the park’s lush green surroundings and tranquil atmosphere. Our activities included exploring the park’s walking and scenic spots and there after children were allowed to play freely in the park as the teachers monitored them. Train ride and fun games were arranged. The winners were awarded with prizes. Snacks, fruits and beverages were provided ensuring everyone stayed refreshed. The picnic concluded at 11:00a.m with photographs to capture the cherished moments. Our class picnic to Kadri Park was a resounding success. We had an amazing time exploring the park, playing games and bonding with our classmates. It was a day filled with joy, relaxation and unforgettable memories.
Class 2: Pilikula Biological Park
A school picnic is a memorable event in a students life as they are freed from mountains of work during this occasion. On 28/11/2024 morning 7.50am all the students reached to school, we took the attendance and prayed for us . The school picnic started at 8.30am, and continued the day with beautiful place Pilikula Biological Park to go and enjoy, we brought the ticketes and entered the gate. A zoo is indeed a world in itself, it is a world of wild animals and birds made artificially by man, sparrows and parrots of different kind and colours. The students brought food for their choices like cake, fruit, or food that they like the most and we too gave them samosa, oranges, biscuits malpuri and cake. Then we reached to school at 12.50pm. There were 164 students and 11 staff members for the picnic.
Class -3       Green Retreat Resort – Ganjimut
“Together we explore, together we learn and together we make memories” The class 3 students were bursting with excitement as they counted down the days to November 25th The annual class picnic was organized by the school for the class 3 to have entertainment and to relax.  A total number of 164 students were accompanied by the nine staff members. Three shadow teachers also participated as they had to take care of special children. The four school buses reached us to the venue at 9:45 am. We were welcomed by the organizer and the delicious breakfast was served. The venue offered a serene atmosphere, with greenery around. The resort amenities, including space to play, swings and rain dance were utilized by the students. The organizers conducted various games and competitions for the staff and the students. Some of the students showcased their talents in dance and singing, whereas few students picked up the thrash. Delicious lunch and refreshments were served. Prize distribution was held for the winners. Finally, Ms Apoline Lobo proposed the vote of thanks, in return Mr Stany Prassanna the organizer also thanked for choosing the resort. At 4:20 pm we departed from green retreat to our school. Principal Rev.Fr. Johnson L Sequiera welcomed, addressed the students. Thanks giving prayer was also conducted by him. Students thanked the principal , parents and teachers.      
Class 4: Green Retreat Resort in Gurupura
On November 23, 2024, Class 4 embarked on a delightful picnic excursion to Green Retreat Resort in Gurupura. The day commenced at 8:30 a.m. with 160 enthusiastic students and staff members assembling at school, where Principal Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira bestowed his blessings upon the group for a safe and enjoyable journey.   Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed and treated to a nutritious breakfast. The day unfolded with a myriad of engaging activities, including swimming, rain dancing, and participating in thrilling sports games. Cycling, singing, and dancing also formed an integral part of the excitement.   Throughout the day, students indulged in wholesome and delectable cuisine. The resort owner, Mr Stanny Prasanna, graciously organized a housie-housie game, distributing gifts and cash prizes to the winners.   In his vote of thanks, Mr Ivan Mascarenhas expressed heartfelt gratitude to Principal Rev Fr Johnson L Sequeira for his guidance, the Green Retreat Resort team for their exceptional hospitality, and the LCS staff members for their tireless efforts.   The picnic drew to a close at 5:15 p.m with the buses returning to school, bringing back memories of a truly unforgettable day.
Class 5: Manasa Water Park, Pilikula
A group of 153 students from classes 5 ABCD participated in the tour, accompanied by class teachers and staff members embarked on an educational trip to the Manasa Water Park, Pilikula, Mangalore on 23.11.2024. This experience offered the students an excellent opportunity to learn outside the classroom environment. Before we left the campus the principal prayed over the students and staff, he also gave them instructions on how to behave in the water park. Further we departed from the school premises at 9.00 am and reached our destination by school buses no 1,2 and 7 at 9.30 am. The journey was filled with excitement and chatter as we anticipated what lay ahead. Along the way, teachers briefed the students on safety measures and the importance of staying together maintaining discipline during the trip. Students enjoyed the various water slides, wave pool and other attractions at the water park further they were provided with sumptuous breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks. Feedback from the students indicated a positive response and enjoyable experience. We were back to the school at 4.30 pm and the students were picked up by their parents and guardians.  A word of appreciation to the Principal, Rev Fr Johnson Sequeira, for giving an opportunity to go on an educational trip. Conclusion: The educational tour to Manasa Water Park, Pilikula, Mangalore was a resounding success, providing participants with a unique and enjoyable learning experience. The tour achieved its objectives, and participants demonstrated significant growth in awareness, appreciation, and enthusiasm. We look forward to organizing more educational tours in the future.

Class 6: Manasa Water Park

The picnic for class 6A-B-C-D was held on 27th November 2024. The venue for the picnic was Pili Kula Science Centre and Manasa Water Park, and the same was approved by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Johnson L. Sequeira.

All the necessary arrangements were made well in advance. On the day of the picnic, students and teachers arrived at the school at the regular school timings. A total of 139 students, along with 8 teachers, were all set to embark on a fun-filled and joyous  journey.

The students gathered in the school corridor hall at 8:30 a.m. The Principal, staff, and students began the day with a short prayer, after which the Principal addressed the gathering and wished everyone. Refreshments were also served to the students. At 9:00 A.M., the staff and students departed from the school in three buses.

The staff and students reached the Pilikula Science Centre at 9:30 A.M. Students had a great time exploring the various exhibits at the science centre and reading interesting facts. It was a wonderful learning experience for both the students and the staff members.

At 11:00 A.M., the group headed to Manasa Water Park. After receiving instructions from the Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Vishwanath, the students left their belongings in the rooms allocated to them and excitedly rushed to enjoy the water park. All  relished the delicious meal was served at 1:00 P.M. Afterward, they returned to the water park to enjoy various water games and had a great time until 3:00 P.M.

At 3:00 P.M., the students gathered in a designated area where they enjoyed ice cream and juice. The lead teacher of Class 6, Ms. Noeleen Pais, gave a few instructions and thanked the students for their exemplary behavior. The children also expressed their gratitude to the teachers for taking care of them throughout the day.

At 3:15 P.M., the students returned to the changing rooms to freshen up. They boarded the buses and left the water park at 4:00 P.M., reaching the school at 4:30 P.M. After returning to school, the students were picked up by their parents, bringing the day to a close.

It was a memorable day of leisure and fun, and the event was enjoyed by both students and teachers alike.

Class 7: Uva Meridian Amusement Park, Kundapur.

On 27th November 2024, the students of Class 7 embarked on a much-anticipated picnic to Uva Meridian Amusement Park, Kundapur. A total of 162 students, accompanied by 9 staff members, began their journey from the school campus at 7:30 a.m. The day commenced with a prayer invoking God’s blessings and an inspiring keynote address by our Principal, Rev. Fr. Johnson Sequeira. The first stop was at St. Mary’s School, Udupi, our Principal’s former school which was a treat to the eyes of all the Lourdites. Known for its vast campus, stunning architecture, and impeccable maintenance, the school left a lasting impression on everyone. There at the school canteen, the students had a healthy breakfast . They also had the opportunity to explore the fascinating museum, which offered a glimpse into the wonders of the past. The bus ride that followed was filled with joy and excitement as laughter and music added to the vibrant atmosphere.
Upon reaching the amusement park at 10:30 a.m., the students’ excitement was palpable. After registration they immersed themselves in various dry games like the Dragon Coaster, Train Ride, Horror House, Mirror Maze,
and the like before heading to the water slides and wave pool. The park’s attractions, especially the larger water slides, provided both thrills and challenges, creating unforgettable moments of adventure and fun.
A delicious lunch was served at 1:00 p.m., which re-energized everyone for more activities. Post-lunch, the students continued enjoying the thrilling water rides before finally stepping out of the pool around 3:45p.m. They changed into dry clothes and gathered near the dining area in their respective sections by 4:00 p.m. The day concluded with a heartfelt closing prayer, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Meeva Menezes of Class 7D. Before departing, the students relished snacks, including crispy onion pakodas and cone ice creams, which added to their delight. The return journey was equally lively, with the bus ride buzzing with energy and cheer. The group reached the school campus at 7:15 p.m., where parents eagerly awaited their children’s arrival.
The day was not just about fun but also a chance for students to bond, learn from each other, and create cherished memories.

Class 8: River Roost resort, Vamanjoor

Lourdes Central School organized an exhilarating picnic for students of class VIII to River Roost resort, Vamanjoor on Thursday 28.11.2024.  Around 143 students paritciapated accompanied by 9 staff members.

The day commenced with excitement as students gathered at the school Corridor Hall bubbling with enthusiasm. After the prayer and instructions by the school Principal Rev. Fr. Johnson Sequeira, around8.40 a.m. the journey started with laughter, chatter, and occasional sing-alongs, reached the spot by 9:15.am. Three school buses were arranged for the same.

Once again students were informed and guided about all the facilities available. Sumptuous breakfast was served thereafter students were engaged in outdoor and indoor activities, football, tug of war, cricket, archery etc.

Students relished the lunch in the afternoon and enjoyed the rain- dance and swimming pool playing with ball and splashing water on each other.

  In the evening the students were delighted to have tea and snacks after which they gathered for final prayers. Adhya P Shetty delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the students and then all boarded the bus and reached the school campus by 5.pm.

It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and   rejuvenate themselves creating long lasting memories.  The teachers appreciated the good behaviour of the students as they observed them learning social skills of cleanliness, friendliness and caring attitude.
