Good nutrition is just as important for kids as it is for adults. Eating healthy food improves learning and increases energy levels, while making poor dietary choices leads to sleepy days in school and creating issues with weight and behavior. To bring out awareness on, “Healthy Diet” the Kindergarten Section dedicated the month of June with the theme,-“Eat Well- Stay Fit”.
The Grand Finale of this project was on 30th June 2015 in LCS Auditorium. The teachers of the Kindergarten Section displayed charts on Healthy Food and taught songs in English, Kannada and Hindi. They also urged the children to bring healthy food in their tiffin. The music maestro Mr. Roshan Cordeiro taught the KG 2 the Grand Finale Song- “Food is the Secret of Energy”
The Management of LCS provided the Kindergarten students with the healthy breakfast (dosa, chutney and malt) on the Grand Finale Day. Fr. Principal sang songs on the project and encouraged children to have healthy food and helped the teachers in serving the students with the delicious breakfast.
Western Singing Competition- 26th June, 2015:
Along with this project in the month of June, LCS Kindergarten conducted the Western Singing Competition for KG 2 on 26th June 2015.
All the students who participated sang songs confidently and entertained the judges and the audience.
The two multi talented judges were Mr. Raymond Pinto and Ms. Melissa D’costa.
