Let’s salute this nation on this Independence Day!

On the 15th of August morning the Lourdite family joined together in celebrating the 68th Independence Day. The function commenced at 8.30 a.m. in the school open ground with a large gathering of staff, students and parents. The programme was graced by the Manager Rev. Fr Wilson L Vitus D’Souza, Principal Rev. Fr Michael Lobo, Vice Principal Mrs Belita Mascarenhas, Vice-President of Bijai Parish Council Mr Nirmal D’Souza.

The Principal Rev. Fr Michael Lobo welcomed the gathering and spoke about the significance of this great day. He highlighted the Motto “Lots of Indians – One India”. The Chief Guest for the day Rev. Fr Wilson L Vitus D’Souza, Manager, LCS hoisted the flag. The LCS campus echoed with the National Anthem.  Shloka Nayak of class IX D shared her views on the significance of the day and highlighted the importance of the day.
Rev. Fr Wilson L Vitus D’Souza, Manager, LCS in his presidential address highlighted the need for India to be united together under one flag and work for a common goal in the development of our country.
The colourful cultural programme sparked off with a patriotic song and glittering dance depicting India’s triumph over the British rule.
The Independence day programme ended with the Vote of Thanks by Akshatha Shenoy of Class IX D. Roshini Shetty and Sristi Rai compered the programme.
