Lourdes Central School bids “Adieu” to beloved Fr Manager Rev Fr Wilson

 A heart touching farewell was organized by the staff on 25th July for their esteemed Fr Manager Rev Fr Wilson L Vitus D Souza in the School Audio Visual room.  The programme began with a prayer song invoking God’s blessings on this momentous occasion.  Mr Rohan Sequeira welcomed the gathering with a warm and cordial welcome. The Vice Principal, Ms Belita Mascarenhas in her encomium gave a bird’s eye view on various aspects of Fr Manager and wished him luck for his future with an abundance of blessings on behalf of the entire Lourdite family.

 

The Principal, Rev Fr Robert D’ Souza expressed his immense gratitude to Fr Manager through an emotional yet heartwarming address, where he said that he experienced a great deal of simplicity, humility and benevolence from Fr manager’s guidance as he worked closely with him. He also expressed his deep gratitude for the immeasurable work done by him for the school. To acknowledge the wonderful works done for the school, an impressive citation was read out by Ms Shaila Pereira and presented to revered Fr Manager, which encompassed all his entirety. Fr Manager spoke on the occasion saying that his six years in Lourdes Central School as Manager have been a learning experience and enjoyable one working for the school and the children.  He reminded us that the school was a place where people of all faith came together to learn despite their myriad back grounds.  He asked all to pray and continue the good work done.

 

The Assistant Parish Priest Fr Vinod Lobo was facilitated for his services rendered at Bejai Church.  Ms Saira D’ Souza in her words of gratitude thanked Mr Michael Saldanha, the retired school security personnel and appreciated his dedicated services. Fr Pramodh Crasta, Assistant Parish Priest was present for the programme. Ms Lisa Peres proposed a meaningful vote of thanks for Fr manager for his gracious presence. Ms Pamela Miranda compered the programme beautifully.  The staff sang a beautiful ‘Adieu’ song to show love and appreciation to their beloved Fr Manager and to make the event a memorable one.
