CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2019
“Christmas brings love, peace, hope, joy and happiness in human family.
It is the spirit of giving and forgiving”.
Lourdes Central School celebrated Christmas on Monday, the 23rd December 2019 at
8:00a.m in the school ground in a most unique way with a caption “The Saviour is born”.
The celebration began with universal prayer followed by a prayer song to invoke God’s blessings.
On this auspicious day, Marissa Elizabeth of Class VII D welcomed the dignitaries on the dais, Secretary of Catholic Board Rev Fr Antony Shera, Manager of LCS Rev Fr Wilson L Vitus Dsouza, Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr Pramod Crasta, our Principal Rev Fr Robert Dsouza, Vice Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas, Management Committee member Mr Stany Vas, all the teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and the Lourdites for the Christmas celebration.
Adin Dcosta of Class VIII B presented the significance of the feast.
Rev Fr Wilson L Vitus Dsouza delivered his valuable message and instilled the gathering in sharing and caring and conveyed the best wishes for the forthcoming year 2020.
Prize winners of Christmas Competitions from KG to Class V were honoured.
Birthday Lourdites were wished by singing a birthday song.
On this special occasion of Christmas, Rev Fr Antony Shera first of all congratulated the school for receiving an award from British Council for the ISA Project.
In his message, he reminded the gathering the three principles of Jesus, the Love, Joy and Peace. Redeeming from all evils and become one and lead this in family and in society.
He wished all, a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2020.
Samarth Manipur of Class VIII B proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The true meaning of Christmas was depicted through a skit.
On the joyous occasion of Christmas, the audience was entertained with a Polka dance, a visual treat by Class III and Christmas carols by the school choir.
Finally, the students were mesmerized by the arrival of Santa.
Simran, of Class XA compered the programme.
This Christmas celebration was indeed a meaningful and memorable one.
