Class 3 Picnic 2023
‘School excursion enhances students’ learning by providing the opportunities for students to participate in curriculum related activities outside the normal school routine.’
7th November 2023, was a day of fun and frolic. Students of Class III were taken to Pilikula Planetarium and Science Centre for a field trip. After the morning prayer, 157 students along with 8 teachers started the journey to our destination at 9.00a.m. Principal Rev Fr Robert DSouza instructed students about safety cleanliness and wished all a joyous outing.
As we reached the venue the kids enjoyed playing in the garden and Science Park which was full of scientific setups for learning a lot of basic Science concepts. The students also viewed the Dino Park where they witnessed various species of dinosaurs.
Then the students were shown a 3D movie in ‘Swami Vivekananda Planetarium’ which was truly a feast to the eyes. The students also had fun watching various sections of Science related to sound, optical illusions, work and energy, Biodiversity in living organisms and latest technologies etc.
It was simply a marvelous and superb experience for the students which has certainly made a remarkable effect for their future studies.
After sumptuous meals, a few lucky games were conducted for all the students and were awarded with the prizes. After thanking Lord and everyone who made this picnic a grand success we started our return journey at 3.30p.m.
