Class 6 to 8 Reopening 2021

1st October, the re-open of Physical Classes at Lourdes Central School in the academic year 2020 -2021 for classes 6- 8 amid the Pandemic  wasa challenging one. After months of offline learning, the willingness to go back to school was quite evident. One could observe the mixed feeling of joy and excitement among students, parents, and teachers alike.
General Assembly was held in the LCS grounds at 8:00 am to nurture and maintain a positive, healthy school culture which binds everyone together. Students of Class 6, 7 and 8 were seated class row-wise maintaining social distancing.
The Assembly commenced by thanking and invoking God’s blessings through a soulful prayer song, sung by the students of the school Choir followed by the Intercessory prayers by the Teachers.
The Students were  warmly welcomed with a rendition of a welcome song.
To brighten the day and to motivate students for the betterment in their education, Ma’am Lavina Serrao presented the Thought for the Day.
At the very outset, the Principal, Rev Fr Robert Dsouza thanked God for the divine protection given to all. He congratulated all students for actively taking part in online classes. He further appreciated the efforts of the students and parents for their cooperation, as physical classes are required for integral development of every child.  He assured that the school would comply with the safety regulations set by the Government.
HeIntroduced Class 6 who have now entered the portals of LCS after a huge gap of almost 18 months, to the New Manager Rev. Dr. John Baptist Saldanha. The Principal wished all students Good Luck for Term II
The Manager of LCS, Rev Dr John Baptist Saldanha, in his address applauded teachers who have given the best efforts during the online classes. He appreciated the students for their maturity in being responsible students,by cooperating and complying with the decisions of the school. He assured that school would follow all norms of SOP.
‘A grateful heart is a magnet of miracles’ to say it with words; the Vote of thanks was proposed by Ma’am Anitha Moras followed by the school Anthem.
Students were then guided to their respective classrooms by the Class Teachers. Ma’am Lavina Castelino compered the Re-opening Day Assembly in a brief and cheerful way.
He encouraged the students to come to school and follow the Covid protocol.
