Condolence Meet For Late Seher Imitiaz Of Class X

Sadly enough, the most painful goodbyes are the ones that are left unsaid and never explained.- Jonathan Harnisch

Fr Manager, Fr Principal, vice Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff  of Lourdes Central School held a Condolence Meet today to pay homage and offer prayers for the repose of the soul of our dear student  Seher Imitiaz of Class X C

Ms Deepa Dsouza gave an introduction to the Condolence Meet and acknowledged the loss of our beloved student. She lamented that it was a thunderclap for all at LCS when the news of the untimely and accidental death of Seher was indeed difficult to come to terms with and to cope with the loss. But even in this deep grief one can still be with the bereaved family and extend support through prayers.It is important to remind ourselves that God has taken this child to his abode where there is peace for eternity.

The Meet commenced with asomber prayer song ‘Nearer My God To Thee’ sung by the Teaching faculty led by Mr Ivan Macarenhas. The teachers delivered prayers for various intentions.A silent Prayer was also said for the repose of the soul of Rhiannon Pais’s father and to the bereaved family.

With a heavy heart Fr Manager, Fr Principal, Vice Principal and Class Teacher MsJayashreepaid Floral tributes at the image of Seher Imtiaz.

Ms Vidhya Joseph, in her condolence message shared a memory of her while she was her Class teacher in Class IX.  She said that Seher has left an indelible mark in her life as her student. She fondly recalled the calm and serene way in which she conducted herself, ready to share her talents with her classmates and always open to suggestions and corrections.

Fr Principal, in his message said that he was thunderstruck when he heard the shocking news at 10:05pm.Fr Principal along with the Fr Manager, Asst. Parish Priest Fr Suraj Lobo and Resident Priest Fr Vincent rushed to the Apartment where Seher’s mortal remains were kept and sadly paid their last respects.  Fr Principal sorrowfully recollected that Seher was like an Angel, well respected, ever smiling girl and it is hard to believe that she no more. Fr invoked God’s strength on her family at this hour of grief. 

Fr Manager extended his condolences to all present at the Meet.  In his heart touching message said that he along with Fr Principal and other Rev Fathers paid their last respects last night. Her face was very peaceful.  He extended his deepest sympathy and shared in the grief of the bereaved family. He said after this sad incident, many questions such as:  ‘Why  this have to happen?, What is life?, Whom am I?, Where am I?, Where will I go?’ all these will arise in the mind of Class X students. He advised Teachers to be sensitive and said that Silence would be greatest homage one could pay Late Seher. He advised Teachers to receive God’s guidance, support one another and move forward.

The teaching andnon-teaching staff paid loving and heartfelt tribute to late Seher Imtiaz by lighting candles and offering flowers to the departed soul.

The Condolence Meet concluded at 9:30 am
