Fr Principal’s 50th birthday celebration

Rev. Fr Robert Dsouza, Principal Lourdes Central School, the special guest of the day was escorted to the open stage through the decorated isle led by the LCS Manager Dr Rev John Baptist Saldanha, Fr Suraj, Fr Leston, Vice principals, Ms Belita Mascarenhas, Ms Anita Thomas, Parish Parishad Secretary Mr Ashok Pinto and Ms Avitha Pinto. The students of Class X added glamour standing on either sides of the isle in traditional Indian attire. God’s blessings was invoked in the form of dance followed by a soul stirring prayer song and prayer intentions.
Leanne of class XI, welcomed the gathering, a perfect recipe for a merry feast of camaraderie and joy.
Vice Principal Ms Anita Thomas shared words of appreciation and gratitude to Fr Principal on behalf of the whole Lourdite family. Ms Deepa D Souza read the citation plaque and all the dignitaries on the dais felicitated Fr Principal.
Very soon it was the turn of Shreya of class 10 student, who expressed her heartfelt appreciation to their Fr Principal on behalf of the student community.
‘Ad multos annos’ (English: For many more years) is a Latin acclamation for celebrations, was beautifully taught to the Lourdite family by Fr Manager, Rev Dr JB Saldanha. He also expressed his appreciation towards Fr Principal by saying that he was always cheerful and carried a vision for the school, His tenure as Principal for the last nine years has made the school reach greater heights. He also requested every Lourdite to carry forward the vision which Fr Principal wished for the school.
The joy and happiness of the day was doubled when the students came in large numbers to wish Fr Principal with flowers and love offering.
Adesh of class Twelve expressed his profound gratitude to one and all. Masters of the ceremony, Aisha and Parin of class X, compered the programme.
