Orientation Program for St. Ann’s  B.Ed. interns.

An orientation programme for St Ann’s B.Ed. students as a part of internship programme was held in Lourdes Central School on 29th July 2024, at 9.30a.m. in the school Audio visual room.

The orientation program began with a heartfelt prayer song, setting a positive note for the day.

The Vice Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas extended a warm welcome to the staff accompanied and B.Ed. interns The VP provided an overview of the institution’s values, mission, and the importance of their role as future educators. The introductory note was both encouraging and informative.

Ms. Gretta Menezes, Exam Coordinator, LCS conducted an insightful briefing through a PowerPoint presentation about the functioning of Lordes Central School, Curriculum structure, Examination and assessment pattern, selection of textbooks, Extracurricular activities, Objectives of CBSE and the facilities offered in school. Her presentation aimed to prepare the interns for a successful and enriching experience.

A B.Ed. student expressed gratitude on behalf of the interns to the Principal Rev. Fr Johnson L. Sequeira for facilitating the programme and the also the teachers involved in the programme. The vote of thanks acknowledged the efforts of everyone involved in making the orientation informative and welcoming.

The interns were taken on a comprehensive tour of the school campus. This included visits to various facilities such as 3D Lab for demonstrating the resources available for practical learning, Library, Indoor stadium, KG Play Area, showcasing the environment designed for early childhood education.

A group photo was taken to commemorate the orientation and capture the moment of unity and beginning of the interns’ journey.

The program concluded with refreshments. Each intern received a copy of the school magazine as a take-away. The magazine featured information about the school’s activities, achievements, and educational initiatives, serving as a valuable resource and keepsake.

The orientation program was successful in providing the B.Ed. interns with a comprehensive introduction to their internship experience. The day’s events were well-received and set a positive tone for their upcoming roles as educators.
