Parent-Teacher Interactive Session 2022- Class 6
“Together we can change the world”
The Parent – Teacher Interactive Session- for class VII was organized in the A V Room from 9:45 am to 10:30am. The meeting commenced with an invocation to God through a hymn. The Principal, Fr Robert Dsouza presided over the meeting. Ms Anita Thomas, the Vice Principal was present at the meeting. Out of 183 parents, 130 were present.
Ms Diana Dsilva welcomed the gathering. All the class teachers and subject teachers introduced themselves updating the parents about the subject enrichment activities for two terms.
Ms Gretta Menezes, the exam Cell Co-ordinator made a presentation explaining in detail about internal assessment and exam pattern.
Ms Anita Thomas, the Vice Principal, briefed the parents thoroughly on the rules and regulations of the school to be followed by the students to make LCS a well disciplined school.
The forum was then open for interaction.
One of the parents spoke about her son, our ex-student doing well at Sainik School. She also expressed her joy for the appreciation received from people at large for the standard of English language at LCS.
Following are some of the queries of the parents :
- Weight of the heavy bags to be reduced.
- Social Science – More portion to be completed in the first Term.
- Subject teachers to inform the students to bring the required books to avoid carrying all the text books.
- Friday uniform to be provided
- Teachers’ enrichment activities
The Principal, Rev Fr Robert D souza, answered all the queries,wisely and advised the parents accordingly. The Principal urged the parents to share with their wards the success stories and expressed his disappointments that there weren’t any toppers from Karnataka in the UPSC 2022. He further advised the parents to see that their wards study daily for 2 to 3 hours, not to compromise on any principlesspecially with studies andhome cooked food.

The meeting ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms Rekha Naveen. Preethi K Vamanjoor compered the session beautifully.
