The first parent-teacher interactive session of class X for the year 2020-21 was organized on 22 July through virtual meeting in two batches at 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The meeting was chaired by the Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza, Vice-Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas was also present. The meeting began with a prayer song and welcome address by Ms. Deepa Dsouza. Later, all the subject teachers of class X introduced themselves and also briefed about their subjects. Ms. Gretta Menezes the exam cell coordinator made a presentation explaining the need for online classes and also about internal assessment.
The Principal Rev Fr Robert Dsouza addressed the parents and appreciated them for participating in the interactive session. He assured the parents that the teachers are always ready to render any help to the students and the students could approach their teachers whenever they feel the need. The Principal also appreciated all the teachers for adapting to online teaching and congratulated the students of class X and XII batch for their splendid results in the board examination.
The parents present for the meeting were all praises for the school, for securing very good results in the class X and XII board examination. They also appreciated the Principal and the teachers for initiating the online classes and for putting in that extra effort to make teaching-learning process stress free.
There were a few suggestions like students to wear school uniform during virtual classes to which some agreed, the Principal also encouraged the students to wear uniform if possible. Some suggested to have open book tests for assessments. All the points were noted and would be discussed with the teachers. The meeting saw the presence of good number of parents with sixty-five parents in batch 1 and sixty-two parents in batch 2.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Linet Dsouza and Ms. Jayashree.
