PARENT – TEACHER VIRTUAL INTERACTIVE SESSION
Lourdes Central School organised Parent-Teacher Virtual Interactive Session for Batch I (Class IXA and Class IXB) on 22 July 2020 on Zoom Platform at 4.00p.m.
The Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza, The Vice Principal Ms BelitaMascarenhas and all the subject teachers concerned were present for theSession. The meeting started with a prayer song. Ms Gowri Ravi welcomed the gathering, followed by appealing introduction by the subject teachers. MsGreeta Menezes presented the importance of online classes, emphasised on few ethics to be adopted as students attend the virtual class and briefed the parents about scholastic area.
The Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza gave an inspiring message to the gathering. At the very outset he briefed about the curriculum and revised syllabus. He acknowledged the relentless efforts done by teachers in imparting education and uploading videos for constructive learning, particularly in maths and availability of teachers even in the afternoon. He announced the results of class X of 2019 -2020 and thanked the teachers and parents for achieving 100% results.The Principal uplifted and boosted the spirit of the parents amidst the pandemic, to be positive and not to losehope because good timesare yet to come. He convinced the parents to take care of their wards and let them go to bed early and wakeup early. The Principalvalued the efforts of teachers switching overnight from offline to online, working together to make teaching-learning effective and the assurance of meeting students face to face in LCS class room.
A great number of parents gave their view and appreciated the incessant work of teachers, executing the classes systematically and skilfully coping with technology.
The session ended with the vote of thanks. Ms Vidhya Joseph, class teacher of IX A compered the session.

PARENT-TEACHER VIRTUAL INTERACTIVE SESSION – CLASS IXB,IXC- BATCH -2
The Interactive online Session for Class IXB, IXC – Batch II was held on 22nd July 2020 in the at 4.30pm.The session commenced by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer song.Ms Gowri Ravi welcomed the parents. Ms Gretta Menezes briefed the parents about the online rules and internal assessment and Evaluation Practices of the Central Board of Secondary Education.
The Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souzaaddressed the parents and thanked them for joining the virtual session. He said online classes started on 29th May. In the beginning teachers interacted through whatsapp.Then zoom id was created for the classes. Lessons are going on according to the divided syllabus. Students should be engaged in physical activities.Students disciplinewas well appreciated. Class IXis important because target is for class 10 board exams. Students are now officially using mobile.He also said four periods in a day are not heavy for class IX. The Principal also praised parents’ sacrifice. He asked the parents to check google classroom for notes and videos. Students should switch on the video camera when teachers insist, to practice yoga for mind relaxation and to develop healthy life style.The Principal said teachers are now qualified in conducting online classes and also appreciated teachers’ effort and commitment.He was glad to announce the 100% results of Class X and Class XII. Parents were asked to inculcate the value of time and punctuality in their wards.
