The session began with a virtual prayer song by Ms. Linette Pereira. Ms. Prema Menezes welcomed all the participants. A power-point presentation and report were presented by Ms. Linette Pereira on the events conducted during the 3 months of this Academic year. The Co-ordinator, Ms. Lydia D’Souza spoke on – How to be a good parent and how to give a happy, safe and supportive environment to the children.
Fr. Principal spoke on the progression of education amid the pandemic. He said that our efforts now should be to live with Covid and also shared the education plan for the future months. He also advised the parents and teachers to co-ordinate and bear with the short-comings of online education so that children can reap the maximum benefit of it.
The parents actively participated in the session and shared their opinions and suggestions and their queries were answered. The session concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Lavita D’Souza and was compered by Ms. Malini Menezes.
Class 1 and 2
The meeting of the Parent-Teachers of Class 1 and 2 Lourdes Central School was held on 21st August 2021.
The session began with the prayer song. The MC hosted the meeting and welcomed the Principal Rev Fr. Robert D’Souza, Vice Principal Ms.Belita Mascarenhas, Deacon Anush S.J, teachers and parents who were present for the meeting. A brief report on the activitiesconducted in the First Term was read out.
The school counsellor shared her experience and views on the topic ‘Handling Children with Care’.She briefed on nurturing and helping the children grow with love and care. As goes the famous saying ‘what you sow, you shall reap’. She also gave a piece of advice to the parents to appreciate children with positive strokes and instill them with basic values of being gentle, humble, helpful and kind.
Later the session was open to the parents for queries.
Parents appreciated the hard work and efforts put in by the school management and teachers during the time of pandemic.They were happy with timings of the Zoom classes conducted early at 8:00 in the morning, as it helps students to be fresh and active.
Suggestions were made:
- Where-in, a Zoom class could be conducted only for interaction between friends.
- To conduct small batches of more Zoom classes.
- To issue hard copies of e-Certificates.
- To share the activities done by the students so that they could get more ideas.
- For students to be called out with their roll no. and their names so that they get familiarized with it.
- A parent alsoraised concern for Hindi and Kannada notebooks which had very narrow lines.
Father Principal thanked and appreciated the parents for their positive feedback and replied to their valuable suggestions and opinions.He also cleared their doubts and queriesinforming:
- The portions will be continued and completed through pre-recorded videos.
- Zoom classes are conducted to have interaction and revision of the work done than the teaching of lessons.
- He highlighted that LCS always gives the best education to students and maintains constant touch with its parents. He also mentioned that Zoom classes will be increased gradually.
The session ended with the vote of thanks rendered by Ms Mini Kumari.
Class 3

With an aim to make sure that kids are inspired and encouraged to develop their skills to the fullest the SecondVirtual Teacher-Parent Interactive Session for Class III was held on 28 August 2020 at 11.00 a.m. The meeting began with a prayer song-‘Bind Us Together’ followed by a warm welcome by Ms Anita Pinto.
All the subject teachers gave feedback about their subject and also thanked the parents for rendering their wholehearted support in carrying out the online classes and helping their wards to complete their assignments. Ms Apoline Lobo motivated the parents by her inspirational talk.
Parents were of all praises and expressed their gratitude towards the School Management and the Principal for the online classes. The parents appreciated the efforts put in by teachers for inculcating the values and interest for learning among the students.
The suggestions made by the parents were noted and the Principal assured that the needful would be done. Principal stressed on the point that joint effort, mutual understanding and co-operation of parents and teachersare very important for the holistic development of students.
It was a great interaction between the teacher and the parents for the development of the students, where discussion on both the strengths and areas of improvement was done.
The meeting concluded at 11.55 a.m. with vote of thanks proposed by Ms Lolita Coelho. The meeting was compered by Ms Clavia Louis in a unique way.
Class 4
The second virtual interactive session for class 4 ABCD was held on September 1 st 2021 at 10am .A total of 163: parents were present.
The meeting commenced with the screen sharing of a prayer song followed by a prayer recital. Ms Shanthi Menezes welcomed the Principal and Vice-Principal, Subject teachers and the Parent community. Principal Rev Fr Robert Dsouza presided over the meeting.
- The parents expressed their appreciation towards Principal and teachers for the smooth functioning of the school education and activities through virtual mode.
- They also expressed their suggestions of asking the students to keep the videos switched on to avoid being distracted.
- Parents requested to post the right answers for the exercises worked out during the virtual classes in Google classroom.
Principal addressed the students and the parents and appreciated the students for presenting themselves well wearing school uniforms. Vice Principal too expressed joy for the neat appearance of the students.
- He also urged all the parents to see that their ward wears school uniform while attending the virtual class.
- He spoke that Lourdes Central School doesn’t believe in competing with any school in the world, rather likes to compete in its own endeavours.
- Lourdes has become a hub for value based education and believes in empowering and upgrading the students, teachers and school as a whole.
The interactive session ended on a pleasant note.
Class 5
“Parent teacher involvement is the foundation of student success”
Lourdes Central School always encourages the parent’s active participation in the school activities and their opinions are incorporated in the planning for the academic year.
The second parent teacher interactive session for class 5 was held on 1.9. 2021 at 10 a.mon Zoom Cloud meetings, to strengthen the bond between the parents and the school.The sessions began with the prayer song an eye catching display of school garden. MS Suneetha welcomed the Principal, the parents and the teachers for the interactive session. Teachers introduced themselves to the gathering and shared their observations. Teachers appreciated the students for being punctual in submitting their work, wearing their school uniform and active participation during classes. Teachers thanked the parents for their unceasing support. Then the session was kept open for the feedback and the suggestions. Principal Rev. Father Robert D’Souza answered all the queries.
All the parents acknowledged the systematic planning and execution of online classes and all the activities conducted.They congratulated the School Management, Principal and the Teachers and wished success for the future online classes.
- To follow the time schedule and in case of network issues to inform the concern teachers.
- In his speech he recognised the support and co-operation rendered by the parents in the school work.
- Headvised the parents not to enrol their children for tuition classes instead request the teachers for some extra classes.
- He also mentioned that remedial classes will commence soon and date sheet for the mid –term exam will be sent at the earliest.
- He assured the parents and students not to worry about exams as the school will send study tips to help the students.
- He asked the parents to feel free to send any suggestion or feedback to the school email ID and it will be answered as early as possible.
The session ended with the vote of thanks by Ms Vanita Patole. Mrs.Teresa Monteiro compered the meeting and Ms. Flavia was hosted the meeting. Nearly 150 parents attended the meeting and made it a grand success.

The Parent Teacher Interactive Session-II for the academic year 2021-22 was held virtually on 1-09-2021 on Zoom Platform at 4:00 p.m. for classes VI A,B,C and D. Parents of all classes around 150 attended the meeting.
The session commenced with a prayer song. Ms Noeline Pais welcomed the audience and the dignitaries.Subject teachers briefed about their respective subjects for 2 minutes each. Ms Gretta Menezes briefed the parents about the Assessment Pattern for 2021-22.
Time was given to the parents for their queries and suggestions. Many parents from all the sections appreciated the Management, Principal and teachers for the dedicated enthusiasm and hard work put in during the online classes. Father Principalclarified the queries of parents regarding reopening of the school and mid-term exams.
Father Principal addressed the session by appreciating and applauding for the concern and support of the parents throughout.
- Headvised them to take the online classes seriously, stop extra coaching classes and motivate textual reading.
- He also encouraged students to read the newspapers, read moral stories, and encourage the students in their own unique creativity.
- He reminded the parents to understand the aptitude and motivate them. He stressed on discipline and asked the parents not to de-motivate the students nor anyone in the presence of others.
The session ended with a note of gratitude by Ms Asha Shet. The Compereing was done by Ms Anitha Moras.
Class 7
The second virtual interactive session for class 4 ABCD was held on September 1 st 2021 at 10am. A total of 163: parents were present.

Class 8

The Parent Teacher Interactive Session-II for the academic year 2021-22 was held virtually on 31-08-2021 using the Zoom Platform at 4:00 p.m. for class VIII.
The programme commenced with a prayer song. Ms Lavina Serrao welcomed the Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza, Vice Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas, subject teachers, parents and students.Large number of parents attended the meeting.
Subject teachers briefed about their respective subjects. Ms Gretta Menezes briefed the parents about Special Scheme of Assessment for 2021-22.Vice Principal briefed parents about SAFAL new examination pattern and gave the parents valuable thoughts and suggestions for the betterment of their wards.
Father Principal requested the parents to give their valuable suggestions, observations, positive motivations and queries if any. Many parents gave positive feedback about online classes and appreciated the teachers. They thanked the management and the teachers for their great efforts, additional activities, and interaction with students.
Father Principal thanked the parents for attending the Parent Teacher Interactive Session II. Ms Padmashree compered the programme. Ms Seema Madta proposed the Vote of Thanks.
Class 9
The Virtual Parent Teacher Interactive Session for Class IX was held on 31st August 2021 at 5.00 p.m. The Session began with a prayer song. Ms Shaila Pereira welcomed the Principal Fr Robert D’Souza, the Vice Principal Ms Belita Mascarenhas, parents, students and teachers. All the Subject Teachers briefed about their respective subjects like portion covered, submission of Subject Enrichment Activity, notes etc. Ms Gretta Menezes gave a power point presentation on the Special Scheme of Assessment.
During the Question& Answer Session the parents asked questions on offline classes, viewing of answer papers, Hindi Grammar Book and question paper pattern for Mid Term exam. The Principal answered their questions and clarified all doubts. The parents appreciated the teachers for their interactive teaching, hard work, immense effort and guidance, and making learning a wonderful experience for the students.
The Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza addressed the parents and students and stated the following points:
- To keep a check on their ward’s device and see that they don’t use it late at night.
- To go through the school diary and encourage their wards to study in the afternoons.
- Not to take any tuitions or coaching from outside.
- After much interaction with experts, parents and students, 6th Period is introduced in the Time Table
- Parents to look into the Google Classroom and check the notes of their wards.
- Parents to provide school uniform to their children and appreciated students who wore uniform during virtual Interactive Session.
- Stressed on importance of value based education with physical and mental health for the wellness of thechildren.
- To make sure students videos are on and to respond to the teachers.
- The Principal concluded by appreciating the parents for attending the meeting in spite of their busy schedule and guiding their ward and supporting the institution. 119 parents were present.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms ChandiniChitraveer. Ms Shamitha Machado compered the programme.
Class 10
The second parent-teacher interactive session of class X for the year 2021-22 was organized on 27 August through virtual meeting app at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was chaired by the Principal Rev Fr Robert D’Souza. Vice-Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas was also present. The meeting began with a prayer song. MS. Linet Dsouza gave the welcome address. Later, all the subject teachers of class X briefed about the subjects and assessments.All subject teachers urged the students to be thorough with their textbooks. Ms. Gretta Menezes the exam cell coordinator made a presentation on the CBSE Special Scheme of Assessments.
The Principal Rev Fr Robert Dsouza addressed the parents and appreciated them for participating in the interactive session. Fr. Principal informed the parents that we would begin with the sixth period and remedial period for class X. He also told the parents to encourage their wards to attend school remedials rather than tuition classes.
The parents present for the meeting expressed their appreciation to the school for systematically conducting online classes. The parents enquired for practice papers and pre-board exams for the term-1 board exams.
Fr Principal informed the parents that the exams will be conducted as per the academic planner in the school diary. The Vice-Principal Ms. Belita Mascarenhas encouraged the parents to urge their wards to keep their video turned on during online classes.
All the parents thanked the Fr. Principal for managing the situation very well and helping the students continue with their learning. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Jayashree. Ms. Deepa Dsouza compered the meeting.
Class 11&12
The session began with a prayer song, followed by the welcome address by Mrs Sharmila Colaco.
The Senior Secondary Coordinator Mrs Roshini Jose presented the Special Scheme of Assessment for the academic year 2021-22. She assured the parents to share the CBSE link of the circular.
Parents were given an opportunity to interact with the Principal and staff members.
Principal addressed the queries:
- Regarding reopening of the school for which he said that will follow the administration’s guidelines.
- Expressed his concern about poor attendance of students for online classes. He urged the parents to look into the matter.
- He also urged the students to interact during the online classes which will help in building interpersonal relationship.
- He stressed on completion of project work, assignment and notes in time.
Mrs Anita Thomas proposed the Vote of Thanks. The session was well conducted by Ms Janaica.
