Self Discipline – First step towards success
Self discipline is the ability to control yourself and make yourself work hard or behave in the particular way without needing anyone else to tell you what to do.
Self discipline is the most important quality needed for the students right now at this time of pandemic. Knowing the need of the hour Lourdes Central School organised a project on Self Discipline for classes KG to 12 on 10-6-2021.
The Principal Rev Fr Robert D’souza sent a note to teachers 2021 briefing about self discipline and asked the teachers to motivate the students by discussing points from the pdf attached and asked the class teachers to post the pdf in class WhatsApp group after the first period.
The aim of the project was to bring in self discipline and students should make a planner or schedule of daily activities and continue the good habits in the days to come.
Seperate pdfs were sent for students of KG class to class5 and from class 6 to class 12 giving various tips for self discipline especially for online classes highlighting the importance of focusing on studies and avoiding social media or chatting with friends.
Students were also shown videos and songs on self discipline. There were various activities conducted on this topic. Classes 1 to 5 made a time planner and used it as Subject Enrichment Activity for the Social Science or Evs subject. Classes 6 to 12 were asked to make a poster of their time schedule and upload it in the Google classroom.
It was indeed a challenging and motivating project for all the children during this pandemic which will surely help them to build in resilience and develop the habit of self discipline.
