WORLD EARTH DAY 2020
To save the planet earth from the critical environmental and climatic situations, every year on 22nd April World Earth Day is celebrated.
World Earth Day 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the day since it was observed from 1970.
The theme for World Earth Day 2020 is Climate Action. The enormous challenge – but also the vast opportunities – of action on climate change have distinguished the issue as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary.
Humanity has yet to find how our mother earth came into existence, how all flora and fauna emerged and how everything prevailing in the earth is so balanced? The fascinating thing is,mother earth has given all of us sufficient resources to survive and evolve.
Unfortunately, human being’s greed has perturbed the balance of mother earth. Over the limited exhaustion of natural resources, colossal levels of pollution and deforestation have rattled the health of the earth and its resources beyond any repair. If the pivotal actions are not taken within the time, things will really go out of hand. International Earth Day 2020 is all about the rising of the world’s citizens together to discuss the most challenging issues humanity is facing and finding the most ingenious and sustainable solution to overcome the challenges.
On International Earth Day 2020, all the nations will take the pledge to tackle the climatic and environmental crisis and make the earth a better place to live for all living beings.
On 22nd April 2020, World Earth Day will be celebrated across the globe via ‘ digital means’ amid the on – going COVID-19 pandemic. Let us mark the Earth Day 2020 as ray of hope, optimism and action and to celebrate safely due to the on-going public health emergency.
