WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

The World Environment Day was celebrated in Lourdes Central School on 5th June 2017. Sasha Lobo of class 9 spoke about the importance of the day during the morning school assembly at 8.15 a.m.
Rev Fr Robert D’Souza, Principal while addressing the students insisted on efficient use papers and books. He asked to keep the surroundings of classrooms, school premises and public areas clean. He suggested some methods to preserve natural resources, such as by walking, cycling and car-pooling etc. ‘Take care of nature around you, it will take care of you’ were his concluding words.
Students of class 8 and 9 displayed some artworks, paintings and slogans concerned to the World Environment Day 2017 on the School Bulletin Boards. The drawing competition for the students of class VI to X was held in the School with the support of Vijaya Karnataka publication on the theme, ‘Connecting People to Nature’.
