World Wildlife Day Celebration 2022

To enlighten and bring about awareness Lourdes Central School celebrated world wildlife day with great enthusiasm and vivacious fervour. The students of class 9 gathered information and articles for wildlife day on the theme ‘Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration’. They put up creative and colourful articles on bulletin boards on every floor of the school campus, inspiring and awakening the peers on wildlife conservation.

On the morning of 3rd March 2022, the students of class 6B presented the Morning assembly.

Morning assembly undoubtedly holds the numero uno position out of

all the routine activities in a school. It aids community participation as well as hones the skills of children on account of healthy competitive spirit between different groups.

The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer followed by a prayer song that invoked peace and serenity to our minds and souls. A student briefed us about the significance of the day. This opened our eyes to see the cruelty and injustice done towards the wild by humans. She also encouraged the young minds to care for and conserve wildlife.

Our Principal, Rev. Fr Robert D’souza addressed the gathering and motivated the students with his encouraging words of wisdom.

This was followed by thought for the day that gave us enough motivation for the day to live up to the values of restoring our Eco system.
