Class 10 – Educational and Recreational Picnic
Trips are the platform for students to develop better understanding of what they have learned theoretically. It’s a keyway to develop a child’s interest and confidence in the subjects learned.
In this regard, an educational and recreational trip was organized by Lourdes Central School to the students of Grade 10 to Udupi Manipal.
The picnic was scheduled for the 17th December 2022. A group of 57 enthusiastic students along with 5 teaching and one non-teaching staff gathered at the LCS grounds in the morning. Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza recited a small prayer and then gave a brief overview of the rules and guidelines to be followed by the students during the trip.
A spiritual visit to Shri Krishna Matha, Udupi and Shrine of Vailankani, Kalmadi, a historical visit to Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village Museum, Manipal, Recreational visit to Manipal Lake wee the part of the schedule.
A day long trip that commenced at 7:45 AM nourished the students with a lot of knowledge regarding the history and cultures of various places as well as entertainment.
In his vote of thanks, Aryan Poonja, poured out his heart on behalf of the student community and expressed his gratitude to the Principal Rev Fr Robert DSouza, the teachers Mr. Henry Mascarenhas, Ms. Deepa DSouza, Ms. Jayashree, Ms. Linet DSouza, Ms. Anitha Menezes and attendant Ms. Preethi.
The bus reached back the school premises by 7:00 PM. The students were immediately picked up by the parents. This trip was truly an example for fun and learning.
