Class 6 Picnic 2023

“A picnic with friends is like a breath of fresh air for the soul”.

Keeping this quote in mind, our school arranged a day’s picnic to Pilikula  Manasa Water Park and Pilikula Science Centre on 4th November, 2023,Saturday.

It was a pleasant day and all students were happy and excited. We first gathered in the classroom for the school assembly. Our teachers then gave us instructions on discipline, safety and the agenda of the picnic. Snacks were then distributed to all the four sections after which we all assembled in the school grounds. Rev Fr Robert D’Souza, our Principal gave us instructions and lead us into prayer.  Meawa of Class 6D recited a prayer for the gathering. The students got into 4 buses and occupied their seats. We started our journey at 9 am. On our way we first sang a hymn continued by Antakshari till we reached our venue.

On arriving at Manasa Water Park group pictures were clicked.  Later students changed into their swim wear, formed lines in a disciplined manner and headed towards the restaurant for breakfast, after which students plunged into the swimming pool. All the children enjoyed the trip to the water park, riding on many slides, playing water games etc. It was a great time of fun and laughter.

Later on at 12:30pm the students were served with sumptuous lunch at the restaurant followed with the ice cream. After lunch, the students continued to play again in slides. At around 2:30pm the students changed their clothes and got ready to visit the Pilikula science centre. In the Pikilula science centre, the students were fascinated with amazing technology like Newton Cradle, Probability Curve, Gravity Well and the Magic Water Well presented in the exhibition hall, galleries, 3D Theatre facility and a small workshop. The students had a great experience with the scientific principles in action. We were then served with a butterscotch cone ice-cream.The picnic came to an end with a vote of thanks by Bhargav of class 6A and a prayer before departure by Prayer before departure by Joeleene of class 6B

The children enjoyed this leisure filled picnic and it was a memorable day for all.  Overall, this was a great opportunity to break our monotonous routine and experience something new and enriching. The memories will forever be etched in our hearts.
